Family asking public for help finding missing young man with autism: Montreal police

The family of a missing 18-year-old is asking for the public's help in finding him.

The Montreal Police Department (SPVM) released an update on Saturday after David Pierre-Bostic went missing on Friday.

He is a 5'5″ black man on the autism spectrum, weighing 138 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a white off-the-shoulder balaclava coat, gray jogging shorts and black boots.

He frequents Subway, McDonald's and Tim Horton's restaurants, as well as subway stations.

According to police, Pierre-Bostic was last seen in the Ville-Saint-Laurent area on Friday around 10:00 p.m. They assume he walks and doesn't have much money.

“Pierre-Bostick has an autism spectrum disorder,” the SPVM said in a release. “He has the mental age of a 13-year-old. He can talk, he can ask for help, but he's afraid of people, not sociable. Be gentle.”

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 or their local police department.
