Events happening in Toronto this weekend: February 9-11

Toronto, you're in for an unforgettable weekend! This weekend is full of events to celebrate Lunar New Year, the 2024 Super Bowl, and of course, Valentine's Day.

Friday, February 9:

The Coors Light Chill Train brings epic prizes on its journey to the big game!

Get into the Super Bowl spirit and head to Yonge and Dundas Square to catch the Coors Light Chill Train from 8am to 7pm. The popular beer brand is launching its first Super Bowl ad in Canada and is making stops across the country. Road to the big game, offering epic prizes including a 65-inch TV and a chance to win a trip to the 2025 big game.

Macbeth: A Tale Told by an Idiot

Try one of Shakespeare's classics, Macbethat the Red Sandcastle Theatre. Macbeth: A Tale Told by an Idiot It is performed by a private actor armed with puppets and masks of various sizes and lots of theater magic. Strange sisters, brutal murders, moments of madness and, of course, Macbeth, King in Blood February 8 at 7:30pm and February 9 at 1:30pm Tickets $30 in advance, $40 at the door. .

Valentine flavor

Spend a romantic Valentine's Day with Eatali Yorkville. The restaurant has organized a tasting with ten stations of delicacies and desserts prepared by the chef. Dishes include hazelnut and mascarpone risotto, shrimp limoncello and strawberry tiramisu, among others. Tickets are $50 each and the event is from 6 to 8 p.m

2024 Toronto Chinatown New Year's Eve

Celebrate the Lunar New Year in Chinatown, a huge festival honoring Asian heritage and culture. The free event is expected to attract more than 13,000 visitors during the two-day celebration from February 10 to 11. The festival will be held at Chinatown Center and Dragon City Mall from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Love and friendship” craft market

Looking for the perfect Valentine's Day gift? Then you must visit the Love and Friendship Artisan Market in the Riverdale Hub. There will be many local artists and vendors selling one-of-a-kind items and one-of-a-kind merchandise. The market also coincides with a special exhibition at the Riverdale Hub Gallery called Mix and Fold. The event is free and runs from noon to 5 p.m

Winter Chocolate Show 2024

Here's a show that would drive Willy Wonka crazy! The Toronto Reference Library and the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon present a Winter Chocolate Show. It's a chocolatier's dream, featuring plenty of samples to taste, chocolate workshops and opportunities to meet Canada's best chocolatiers. It's all happening at 789 Yonge St. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

LVIII Super Bowl Owner's Tailgate and Viewing Party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto

Watch the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday at the Four Seasons Hotel. The hotel is hosting a watch party with d|bar, where you can watch the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers battle it out on the field. There will be interactive stations, unlimited a la carte dinner and dessert menus, an open bar and exclusive prizes to be won. The event starts at 17.00 and continues until midnight.

SUNDAY NIGHT HOT

Bring a friend or special someone to the Comedy Bar for a night of comedy about love, loss and circumstance. The evening will feature improv, stand-up, sketch and musical comedy from the best comics in town. Tickets are $18 for one, $23 for two.

Black frequency

The Clark Center presents the interactive exhibition Black Frequency by Monique Armstrong, founder of B. Emerging Creatives Canada. In honor of Black History Month, Armstrong has created an exhibition that empowers and recognizes the voices of black people and communities across Canada as influenced by the medium of film. The free exhibit can be seen at the Clark Art Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m
