Dining experience Le Petit Chef opens its doors in Calgary

Le Petit Chef is a one-of-a-kind dining experience brought to cities around the world, and it's landed in Alberta for the first time.

The world's smallest chef took up residence at The Dorian Hotel in Calgary, and Dished went to check out the miniature culinary maestro in action.

Unlike your average restaurant visit, Le Petit Chef has a strict show time, so you should arrive about 30 minutes before your reservation for the best experience, allowing time to sit down and enjoy a drink before the show.

Trust us, you won't want to miss any of the magic. In each of the four courses, you will see Le Petit Chef's hard work at work.

Although it is small at only 6cm tall, it makes up for it with its culinary skills, preparing every dish to perfection right in front of your eyes.

But it's not without challenges, as the chef has to deal with sea monsters, honeybees and more. The whole experience is fun for both adults and children.

State-of-the-art 3D mapping and video projection are used to bring the chef's adventures to life right on the table, and it's incredibly immersive to watch IRL.

Plus, The Dorian's expert culinary team is working to put together real-life versions of each dish so you can enjoy the entire experience.

The menu included Caprese di burrata salad, seafood bisque, Alberta AAA beef striploin and crème brûlée, with a vegetarian and children's menu.

The whole experience is not deceiving as each course is delicious, flavorful and beautifully presented.

If you are a wine lover, there are two different levels of wine pairings available for an additional fee.

Whether you have a special event coming up or just want to treat yourself to a fabulous four-course meal and show, Le Petit Chef is a wonderfully fun and unique way to dine.
