A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing in northwest Toronto

A man was taken to hospital in critical condition after being stabbed in northwest Toronto late Friday night.

Toronto Police said they received a report of a stabbing at Jane Street and Finch Avenue West at 8:20 p.m.

According to paramedics, the victim, an adult man, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect and the victim knew each other, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
