Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide on Assiniboine Ave

Winnipeg police are asking for the public's help in solving the city's latest homicide.

Emergency crews were called to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Assiniboine Avenue around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday to find a man dead in the hallway.

Winnipeg police responded and secured the scene, while the homicide unit took over the investigation.

The victim has since been identified as 19-year-old River Harper. His death is considered murder.
