Winnipeg Goldeyes Sign Pitcher Zach Reininger

The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed right-handed pitcher Zach Reininger for the 2024 season.

Reininger, 31, appeared in 53 games over three seasons with the Detroit Tigers and made his major league debut on August 27, 2017 against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Reininger's final Major League game came on September 26, 2019 against the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. His record with the Tigers was 1-3 with an average of 8.08.

“Zach has a lot of experience with some very valuable time in the big leagues,” said the Goldeyes skipper. Logan Watkins. “He had a rest last year but is working hard this season and wants to help us win the championship. We see him being a starter and adding to an already strong rotation.”

Winnipeg currently has 12 players under contract through the 2024 season.
