Two GTA store robbery suspects charged

Two men have been charged in connection with an investigation into multiple armed store robberies in the Greater Toronto Area.

Between Dec. 30, 2023 and Jan. 16, 2024, two suspects wearing masks and armed with guns visited a number of corner stores in Toronto and the Peel and Halton regions, police said.

During the robbery, they demanded money and lottery tickets,” said the police.

None of the victims were injured.

The Peel Regional Police (PRP) Central Robbery Bureau collaborated with the Toronto and Halton Police Services in the investigation and identified and arrested two men.

Aaron Wisniewski, 23, of Brampton, has been charged with seven counts of armed robbery and masked robbery by Joanna Lavoie. He appeared in court on February 7.

That investigation is ongoing and police said “more charges are likely.”
