The Calgary Flames represent the top tier of TSN's trade bait board

The Calgary Flames' relay race to the NHL trade deadline continues unabated.

In a Jan. 31 trade to Vancouver, highly touted Elias Lindholm passed the baton to former Calgary teammate Chris Tanev on the TSN Trade Bait List.

Tanev, a sought-after right-back, is No. 1 exactly one month after the March 8 deadline.

And who knows what will happen after Tanev is sold (or before).

How high could TSN #6, Flames blueliner Noah Hanifin or TSN #35, Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom move up on the Trade Reserves list over the next four weeks?

Hanifin is an upcoming unrestricted free agent and Markstrom is under contract for two more years with a $6 million AAV.

New to TSN's top 10 this week are Philadelphia center Scott Laughton (No. 4), Nashville right tackle Alexander Carrier (No. 8), Pittsburgh lefty Jake Guentzel (No. 9) and, coincidentally or not, the Edmonton Oilers. 2024 first round pick #10.

Guentzel, whose future with the Penguins is uncertain, is believed to be a great fit for the Oilers if he becomes available.
