Searching for Levis, who missed a prison day

A Lewes man has been released after appearing in court for a firearms offense but is wanted by police after he failed to report to authorities on February 2.

Jonathan Ferland, 37, was ordered to report to a Quebec City jail. His failure to do so would constitute a breach of that order.

On July 18, Ferland was charged with possession of a firearm for commercial purposes, possession of a prohibited firearm without a permit and violation of probation.

He was released pending his next court appearance.

Police are asking anyone who spots Ferland to stay away, but to call 911 immediately.

Any information that may further the search for Ferland can be shared with the Sûreté du Quebec Criminal Information Line at 1-800-659-4264.
