Raptors trade Dennis Schroeder to Nets for Spencer Dinwiddie

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Toronto Raptors will trade forward Dennis Schroeder and power forward Thad Young for Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

Schroeder, 30, averaged 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.1 assists in his first season with the Raptors and 51 games. Schroeder is in the first year of a two-year, $25 million contract.

The German native is in his 10th NBA season.

Dinwiddie, 30, averaged 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 48 games with the Nets this season, his 11th season in the NBA. Dinwiddie is in the final season of a three-year, $54 million contract.

Young, 35, joined the Raptors through the 2021-22 season and will become a free agent at the end of the season.
