The 7-foot Kamloops product was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Toronto Raptors. According to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Olympique and defenseman Chai Agbaji were traded to Toronto in exchange for Kyra Lewis, Otto Porter and a 2024 first-round pick, according to Wojnarowski.

Olynyk was born in Toronto and grew up in the tournament capital. He captained Team Canada to a bronze medal at last year's FIBA ​​World Championship and was part of a core group of players determined to wear the Maple Leaf at the Paris Olympics in July.
