Here's what's open and closed for Family Day in Calgary this year

We're through the first week of February, and Family Day is right around the corner, which means you might need some help planning ahead!

Whether you're looking for fun things to do or ways to get around town, here's a list of what's open and closed this weekend.

Calgary Public Library

Library locations in Calgary will be open from noon to 5 p.m., when a special Family Day celebration will also be held.

City of Calgary services

City landfills will be open for Family Day, and Calgary Transit will operate a level of service on Sunday.

Food stores

Food and liquor stores throughout the city are usually open on Family Day; however, some may have adjusted hours. We advise you to check your favorite location to confirm transactions.

Canada Post

Canada Post will be closed on Monday, January 1. There will be no mail collection or delivery on this day.

Southland Recreation Center and Village Square Recreation will be open on Family Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
