Baby among 3 found dead in Richmond Hill home

A five-month-old baby was among three people found dead in a Richmond Hill home last week, police said. Investigators believe that he committed violence against his partner.

York Regional Police offered an update Thursday on their investigation into the Feb. 1 incident at a residence near Yonge Street and Carrville Road.

According to investigators, the other two people who died were a 41-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.

Police did not disclose the identity of the deceased and their relationship with each other.

Post-mortem examinations of the policemen's deaths have been completed, but the cause of death has not been released.

Officers were first called to the home on MacKay Drive at approximately 4:15 p.m. last Thursday to check on the “well-being of the occupants.” It is unclear who called the police.

A homicide investigation was then launched, but police said at the time there was no threat to public safety.
