Winnipeg police are searching for an attempted murder suspect

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is searching for a suspect wanted in connection with two attempted murders in November 2021.

Yusuf Abdulqadir Ali, 28, is wanted for two counts of attempted murder and several weapons offences.

Ali's charges stem from a Nov. 25, 2021, shooting at a home in the 100 block of Furby Street.

According to police, two men were found inside the home with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, but were released after recovering from their injuries. The suspect fled the scene.

Charges against Ali were authorized after the Major Crimes Unit investigated and consulted with the Manitoba Prosecutor's Office.

The police, who could not find Ali, are now asking the public for help.

Ali is described as six-foot-three and has an average body weight of about 235 pounds.

According to the police, he is associated with a criminal gang and is involved in the drug subculture.

Ali is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach it.
