WestJet flights to Toronto will return to YQM in May

Another option is to fly to Toronto.

WestJet will once again offer flights from Greater Moncton Romeo LeBlanc International Airport to Pearson Airport.

They will begin May 17, according to spokeswoman Sheila Lagas.

“It flies twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, up to three times a week in the low season and up to five times a week in the summer peak.”

The flight was previously offered before COVID, but Lagace says WestJet is now using a larger plane with double the capacity.

“WestJet's reinstatement of the YQM-YYZ route this coming summer is great news for the region,” said Courtney Burns, airport president and CEO. “In 2023, YQM received 600,121 passengers, which is 89% of the number of passengers in 2019. Our recovery is progressing well and the addition of new routes by our airline partners is a factor in helping us reach our pre-Covid passenger levels.”
