Veteran badminton player dominates 30+, 40+ Calgary tournament

OLD — Local badminton player Mary Marshall dominated the Glencoe Masters tournament in Calgary on January 26-28.

Marshall finished first in the women's 40+ singles, second in the women's 30+ doubles with partner Carol Fu and second in the women's doubles with partner Daisy Lee.

He also finished second in the 40+ mixed doubles with partner David Miller.

“I felt really focused on the court,” Marshall said. “One lady said I look like I'm swimming because my legs are so beautiful. (It was) very kind to him.”
