The secretary general of Montreal's public consultation office has been fired

Guy Grenier, secretary general of Montreal's public consultation office, no longer works for the organization.

The Office of Counsel in Montreal (OCPM) confirmed the information to Noovo Info on Wednesday.

“You understand that we cannot comment further on this file or disclose personal information that is part of an employee's personal file,” an OCPM spokeswoman said, adding that “the presidency is considering the next steps and the individual who received the loan from the city.” acts temporarily”.

Grenier's dismissal follows the sudden resignations of OCPM President Isabelle Beaulieu and Montreal City Executive Council President Dominique Olivier, who previously held the same position.

An investigation by the Journal de Montréal revealed questionable spending during his presidency.

Olivier sued two Quebecor news agencies for defamation.

It was later revealed that when Beaulieu moved on from Olivier in February 2022, the questionable spending habits continued.
