Quip, Quip, Hooray! | Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames are pleased to announce the details of Miika Kiprusoff's jersey retirement event, presented by Mikelob Ultra, as his number 34 is raised at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, March 2 when the Flames host the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Scotiabank Saddledome will open its doors to fans at 5:30 p.m., with the ceremony beginning on the ice at 6:20 p.m. At the end of the ceremony, the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins will warm up their standard players, with game time set for 8:00 p.m. The ceremony will feature special appearances by Calgary Flames alumni, Miikka's career trophies from the Hockey Hall of Fame, a video and a thank you from Miikka Kiprusoff. The ceremony will conclude with his number 34 being retired by Lanny MacDonald, Jarome Iginla and Mike Vernon along with Calgary Flames honorary members and Hockey Hall of Famers Joe Nieuwendyk and Al McInnis.

Fans can enjoy 90 minutes of extended hockey starting at 5:30 p.m., with select food and beverages for just $6. Courtesy of Banded Peak, there will be a limited edition Miikka Kiprusoff branded can available for purchase throughout the Scotiabank Saddledome. Fans will have a unique photo opportunity in the main hall with a unique Kiprusoff brand goalkeeper mask.
