Man wanted for attempted homicide after double shooting in Winnipeg

A 28-year-old man is wanted on attempted murder and multiple firearms charges after a 2021 shooting in Winnipeg that sent two men to hospital in critical condition.

Yusuf Abdulqadir Ali was identified as the suspect after a lengthy investigation, police said in a statement on Wednesday.

Attempts to locate Ali have been unsuccessful, and police are now asking the public to contact them with any information about his whereabouts.

Ali is described as having a medium build, six feet three and 235 pounds. He has ties to street gangs and is involved in a drug subculture, police said.

Officers were called to a home on Furby Street between Westminster Avenue and Broadway on Nov. 25, 2021, in the city's West Broadway neighborhood.

Inside, two men aged 29 and 35 were found with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition and eventually recovered.
