In 2000, the killer of a teenager was found dead in Quebec

Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after the bodies of a father and son were found in a Laval apartment Wednesday.

The boy was 43-year-old Richard Germain, CTV News confirmed. His father was 67 years old.

This is Richard Germain, who was convicted of murdering a 15-year-old girl in 2000, another source told Noovo Info.

“This morning around 10 o'clock, the Montreal police department asked us to come to check on the health of a resident of the building behind me on rue Orly in Laval-des-Rapides. Unfortunately, when the police entered the apartment, we found two lifeless bodies,” said a spokesperson for the Laval police. Stephanie Beshara.

A convicted murderer

In 2000, Germain, then 20, was charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend, 15-year-old Christel Lavigne.

After Germaine's death, she attempted suicide but survived.

He eventually pleaded guilty to reduced charges of second-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 11 years.
