Flames sign rookie point guard Martin Pospisil to two-year contract – Winnipeg Free Press

CALGARY – The Calgary Flames have signed forward Martin Pospisil to a two-year contract extension.

Average annual deal value is $1 million.

Pospisil has four goals and seven assists in 34 games for Calgary since making his NHL debut in Seattle on Nov. 4 in a 6-3 win over the Kraken.

Pospisil's plus-10 defensive rating ranks fourth among rookies.

After scoring three goals and three assists in six games with the Calgary Wranglers of the American Hockey League, he was called up to the NHL.

A native of Zvolen, Slovakia, Pospisil was selected by Calgary in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, 105th overall.
