David Reinbacher needs to get to Montreal “as soon as possible,” according to Bob Hartley

Much has been made of David Reinbacher's season in Europe in recent months. We know his team, EHC Kloten, have been at the bottom of the table since the start of the campaign, so he is in his third stint as head coach.

The good news is that despite the health issues and ups and downs, things are looking up for Reinbacher. His team has been blanked in the last two games, but he had four points in five games before this latest slide.

That being said, many are hoping he will head to Quebec at the end of his European season. Whether it's to Laval (the most likely avenue) or Montreal (to give him a taste of the NHL at the end of the season), there's a feeling that's what awaits him in a few weeks.

And if that happens, it will make a lot of people happy… including Bob Hartley.

talk to Hockey 360 this evening, Hartley made it clear that he believed Reinbacher should get to Montreal “as soon as possible.”

Like many, Hartley is not happy that the young defender has played in such a poor team and has gone through three managers since the start of the campaign. She admits that all is not lost (she's still playing with men in a league that doesn't exist. bad), but these are not ideal conditions either.

In Quebec, he would at least have some stability (Martin St-Louis and Jean-Francois Houle, who don't look like they're going to lose their jobs) and he'd still have a chance to play with men. . All this can contribute to the development of the defender,” says Hartley.

And let's not forget that, with any luck, Reinbacher could theoretically make it to Quebec within a month. For this, his team needs to finish 12th in the standings (out of 14 teams) and the last two defeats have not really helped EHC Kloten. There's still a three-point gap between the two clubs (remember, it's a 3-2-1-0 system), so just one win in regular time could change everything, but time is running out as the season winds down. beginning of March.

If he stays at No. 13, on the other hand, we'll have to wait until April before the youngster has a chance to make it to Quebec.

We'll see if Bob Hartley's wish (shared by many fans) comes true in the next few weeks, but it would be nice for the youngster to be able to adjust to the North American ice at the same time.

To be continued.
