Calgary police have charged a man with drug trafficking after he handed out business cards with free samples of cocaine.

Officers patrolling the downtown casino found out after handing out the cards to patrons on Christmas Eve.

According to police, the cards contained a name used by the accused as an alias and small bags containing suspected samples of cocaine.

Investigators started the investigation in January.

Officers searched the vehicle last weekend and found nearly 60 grams of cocaine, which was individually divided into more than 50 bags, a digital scale, cash and business cards.

A 30-year-old man is charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of sale and three counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
