Attempted Homicide Investigation – Request for Public Assistance: C21-276089

The Winnipeg Police Service's Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public's assistance in locating an adult male wanted in connection with an attempted murder incident in the 100 block of Furby Street on November 25, 2021.

Investigators have already identified the victims A 35-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, both of Winnipeg. During the incident, both victims received life-threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The adult male suspect fled before police arrived. Both victims were discharged from the hospital after recovering from their injuries.

The Serious Crimes Unit continued to investigate. After consultation with the Manitoba Prosecutor's Office, charges of attempted murder x 2 and multiple firearms charges including discharging a firearm with intent. Yusuf Abdulqadir ALI, 28, was authorized.

Attempts to locate Ali have been unsuccessful, and investigators are asking for the public's help.

– ALI is a black male, 6'3″, weighs approximately 235 pounds, and has a medium build.

– ALI has gang ties and is involved in the drug subculture

**WANTED for Attempted Murder x 2 and multiple firearms offences.
