18-year-old victim in fatal West End shooting; suspects were searched

A Mississauga teenager was a victim of a Shooting on Toronto's west side.

Emergency crews were called to Lansdowne Street between College and Bloor streets around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired.

Police confirmed that a young man was injured at the scene. Rescue operations were carried out and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he was pronounced dead.

In a statement Wednesday, investigators identified the victim as 18-year-old Isaiah Junge of Mississauga.

No suspect information has been released.

Police are asking anyone with more information, including people who were driving in the area at the time and who were caught on camera, to contact them.
