$1.6 million worth of fentanyl, cocaine seized in Winnipeg drug bust

Winnipeg police say they have seized an additional $1.6 million worth of fentanyl and cocaine as part of a drug-trafficking investigation.

Police say it's part of an operation that stretches back to Morden and Winkler.

During the investigation, police previously seized $600,000 worth of fentanyl and cocaine, along with two guns and more than $50,000 in cash. Three men, ages 19, 24 and 30, were arrested and charged.

The WPS Narcotics Unit made an additional arrest on January 26: a 27-year-old woman was arrested at a home on Plessis Road.

Police said a search found three kilograms of fentanyl and one kilogram of cocaine.

He faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of unlawful trafficking.
