Usher announces tour stops in Toronto

LOS ANGELES (AP) – After an acclaimed two-year Las Vegas residency at Park MGM, releasing his first solo album in eight years and headlining the Super Bowl halftime show in 2024, Usher will embark on a North American tour.

The R&B-pop icon kicks off his 24-city Past Present Future Tour on August 20 at Washington's Capital One Arena. It will hit many major North American cities before ending at the United Center in Chicago on October 29th. .

The tour also hits Baltimore; Boston; Philadelphia; Toronto (September 2 and 3 at Scotiabank Arena); Brooklyn, New York; Detroit; Denver; Los Angeles; Oakland, California; Dallas; Austin, Texas; Miami; Atlanta; Charlotte, NC and St. Louis.

According to a press release, general ticket sales will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. local time on LiveNation.com. Citi and Verizon pre-sales begin Wednesday. No openers have been announced.

Usher will attend the Super Bowl on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He has performed once before – in 2011 as a guest with Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am.

“I got a chance to see how he felt,” Usher told The Associated Press in a recent interview. In his first Super Bowl, he descended from the roof of the stadium to perform “OMG” in Arlington, Texas.
