Toronto Weather: Temperatures could reach double digits on Friday

Toronto's mild winter continues this week before temperatures really warm up on Friday.

The forecast is for the city to reach a high of 9 degrees over the weekend, though there is a chance of rain throughout the day.

On Tuesday morning, CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter said, “Mostly sunny today, then expect a mix of sun and clouds through Thursday with temperatures 5 to 8 degrees above normal. “Friday will be even warmer.”

While the latest weather in the city is in line with the three-pronged forecast for an early spring across the country last Friday, the forecast for Sunday and Monday is reminiscent of winter.

Sunday will be cloudy with a chance of isolated showers as Saturday's high will drop from 7C to 3C.

“Monday brings us back to the reality of June, with a few wet spells and the risk of a 1C high,” Coulter said.
