Toronto police have arrested a man accused of randomly attacking a woman crossing the sidewalk in broad daylight.

Police were called to the area of ​​Yonge Street and Cranbrook Avenue on January 30, 2024 for a report of an assault.

According to investigators, the victim was walking along Yonge Street when an unknown man approached him and forced him to the ground.

Police confirmed in a statement that the suspect and the victim did not know each other.

On Tuesday, the police made an arrest in connection with the case.

Jermaine Crooks, 39, was assaulted once.
