The Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers are discussing a D'Angelo Russell deal

Add the Toronto Raptors to the list of teams that have inquired about D'Angelo Russell, along with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Before that, the “Atlanta Hawks” and “Brooklyn Nets” clubs, where Russell spent two seasons, were also interested in the striker.

Currently in his second season with the Lakers, Russell is in his ninth NBA campaign in Ohio.

The second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Lakers, Russell has appeared in 48 games this season, averaging 17.3 points on .465 shooting, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 boards in 31.0 minutes a night.

The Louisville native has an $18.692 million player option for next season.

“I mean, I can't help but think it makes sense to sell my contract,” Russell said of his deal and the trade rumors surrounding it. “Then just play along. You can't control this. Again, I don't care. Absolutely.”

An All-Star with the Nets in 2019, Russell also suited up for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors.

The NBA trade deadline is set for Thursday.
