Montreal Metropolitan Airport will receive a $90 million investment for a new domestic passenger terminal

MET – Montreal Metropolitan Airport (YHU), formerly known as Saint-Hubert Airport, has received a $90 million investment from the Canadian Infrastructure Bank (CIB) for a new passenger terminal.

CIB said in a press release Tuesday that the investment will enable the development of a new domestic airport terminal to improve mobility options for Canadians to and from the Montreal area, while supporting economic opportunities in the Greater Montreal area.

Located 15 kilometers from Montreal, the MET project includes the construction of a new self-contained two-story domestic terminal with nine connected taxiways and onshore facilities such as barrier-free parking, EV charging stations and bus reception. and drop points.

The 21,000 square meter building is expected to handle more than four million passengers a year.

The new terminal is planned to open in 2025.
