Man killed in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux car park: police

A man in his 40s was shot and killed in a parking lot in Dollar-de-Ormeaux on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The SPVM confirmed that it received several calls about the shooting at 5:50 p.m. They say a man was shot in the parking lot of a shopping center near Sours Boulevard and Brunswick Boulevard.

SPVM spokeswoman Jeanne Drouin said paramedics arrived at the scene and the victim was injured in the upper body.

The victim, who has not been identified, died at the scene, police said.

According to initial information received by SPVM, the victim was in a car in a parking lot when he was hit.

The suspect or suspects fled in a vehicle before police arrived, Drouin said.
