Dump and chase: Carlo Colaiakovo Winnipeg Jets Sean Monahan

Welcome to Dump and Chase powered by FanDuel. Join Aaron Korolnek and Carlo Kolaiakovo as they give you the best bets of the NHL season every Tuesday and Thursday night. Tonight, Carlo favors the Winnipeg Jets in Sean Monahan's debut, and AK supports his beloved prop Sam Reinhart.

Aaron Korolnek: The All-Star break has come and gone. We're back and ready to pick some winners. And the Winnipeg Jets, Koko, have a new man in the middle. This is Sean Monahan. Why do we like the Jets tonight?

Carlo Colaiacovo: I love the Jets tonight as you think about the spark this Monahan trade created for the Winnipeg Jets.

We've been on the Jets train for a long time, and I've always said, what if this team had a top-six forward? Well, they did it in Sean Monahan, solidifying their second-string center ice position. And this team is not typical of a team that has lost three in a row. So they hit the reset button, are fresh back, head to Pittsburgh tonight, and play a mostly healthy game. So Monahan is stepping up, and the Winnipeg Jets are looking to get back into the win column. So I love them tonight.

King: One of my favorite plays of the year was supporting Sam Reinhart.

Three or more shots on goal and FanDuel gives us the same number at a very reasonable price of -133, three or more times for Reinhart. It's won 15 of his last 17 games, and Reinhart is one of the top shooters in the NHL with 37 goals on the season. There is no reason to expect anything different tonight. Reinhart has a shot on goal, a must play for me.

So we know the Edmonton Oilers are looking for their 17th straight win tonight in Vegas. However, we approach it a little differently. How do we play this game from a disability perspective?

Kolaiakovo: Yes, we as Canadians are all rooting for the Edmonton Oilers to take this streak and make it 17. But I think it will be difficult because I don't expect much offense in this game. I'm leaning towards six and a half goals.

If you look at Edmonton's road over this period, they haven't scored many goals, but more importantly, they haven't scored many goals. They've been underachieved 10 times overall, and they're playing against a Vegas team that might be a little demotivating. And Aidan Hill returns the net. Yes, as we thought, Aidan Hill and Stuart Skinner are in a goalkeeping battle in Vegas tonight. So give me the bottom.

King: Canada's goaltenders could meet in four countries next year.
