A teenager has died after a shooting in rural Bloomdale

Police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old Mississauga man after a shooting in Toronto's Bloordale Village.

Toronto Police said they received a report of a shooting at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of ​​Lansdowne Avenue and Bloor Street West.

Investigators said the victim had injuries to his body. Rescue operations were carried out and the man was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police on Wednesday identified the victim as 18-year-old Isaiah Junger. Investigators also released a photo of him.

The investigation into Junger's death is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time and has dash cam or video footage to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-808-7400, 416-222-TIPS (8477). ).
