A 49-year-old woman was hit by a car in Rosemont

A 49-year-old woman was hit by a car in the Rosemont area on Tuesday.

Montreal police spokeswoman Sabrina Gauthier said the collision happened around 7:30 a.m. at the corner of Boulevard Saint-Michel and Rue Bellechasse.

The driver was in Saint-Michel when he was hit by a pedestrian crossing the street in Bellechasse.

The woman was taken to the hospital, but her injuries are not life-threatening, police said. Gauthier said he is being treated for a broken arm.

The driver has not been charged, Gauthier said.
