WestJet is planning new flights from Winnipeg to Mexico, Florida

WestJet has announced new direct flights from Winnipeg to Florida and Mexico.

The Calgary-based airline said Monday that its 2024/25 winter schedule will include flights from James Richardson International Airport to Los Cabos, Mexico, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Flights to Mexico will begin from November 9, 2024 to April 26, 2025, and flights to Fort Lauderdale will begin from November 18, 2024 to April 21, 2025.

“WestJet continues to invest in the connectivity our communities need to thrive,” he said Nick HayesPresident and CEO of the Winnipeg Airports Authority.

“Today's announcement provides more opportunities for important destinations in our region.”

WestJet will soon begin offering direct flights from Winnipeg to Nashville, along with expanded service to Montreal and Ottawa.
