Born and raised in Calgary, Shawn grew up with a passion for television.

Shawn first discovered this love at the age of 13 when he joined the Calgary Stampede Young Canadians, where he performed with the group for six years.

He then worked in the restaurant industry for several years before deciding to pursue a career in broadcasting after being accepted into the Broadcast News program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Shawn graduated with honors in May 2020 after interning at CTV Calgary under Senior Video Journalist Kevin Greene and Director of News and Public Affairs Jeff Little.

After graduation, Shawn worked as a video journalist and radio reporter at CJDC-TV News in Fort St. John, where he worked for eight months before accepting his current VJ position at CTV Lethbridge.

In his spare time, Shawn enjoys snowboarding, going to the movies with friends, spending time with his family, and being a double bogey (at best) golfer. His love for the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Steelers runs deep in his roots, as harsh as it may be at times. Sean speaks English.
