A fatal collision at Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard remains under investigation

A pedestrian was struck by a car at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard Sunday night. The Winnipeg Police Service responded to the incident at approximately 10:45 p.m

As a result of the collision, a pedestrian and a woman were seriously injured. Winnipeg Fire Paramedics responded to the scene and transported him to hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Since then, the traffic accident investigation department of the traffic department has taken over the investigation.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in the ongoing investigation. They are particularly interested in any video footage of the incident, including dashcam footage from vehicles nearby at the time of the collision.
