A pedestrian has died after a crash in St James on Sunday night

Winnipeg police say a woman has died after being involved in a collision between a pedestrian and a car on Sunday night.

The crash happened in the area of ​​Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard at 10:45 p.m.

According to the police, the woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died from her injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with the police.

An earlier version of this story showed a collision between a cyclist and a car. Winnipeg police issued a correction to say a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in the collision.
