Winnipeg Police: Pedestrian dies after being hit by car

Winnipeg police are investigating after a woman was hit by a car and died from her injuries on Sunday.

Around 10:45 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard for a report of a hit-and-run pedestrian.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The traffic department is now investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
