Airdrie RCMP are asking for the public's help to help with the beating

Airdrie RCMP are asking for the public's help after a 2-year-old boy was hit in a Superstore parking lot on Friday.

Around noon Friday, officers received a report of an incident at a store in the 300 block of Veterans Boulevard in Airdrie.

Police say a 2-year-old boy lost his parents, ran into a parking lot and crashed into the front driver's side of a car that did not stay at the scene.

The child did not appear to be seriously injured, they added.

The vehicle is reported to be an older model blue hatchback, possibly a Subaru Justy, Mazda 323 or similar model.

The driver was described as a 20-30-year-old man with a pale complexion, black hair and a beard.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7267. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers online at 1-800-222-8477 or by downloading the P3 Tips app.
