In Calgary, the downtown CTrains were closed for the long weekend

Calgary Transit is conducting maintenance and preventative maintenance on the Blue and Red lines over the long weekend, causing a number of disruptions for light rail riders.

All downtown stations along 7th Avenue, as well as Victoria Park/Stamped Station and several other surrounding stations, will be closed Saturday through Tuesday morning.

Buses will run to trains until Tuesday.

The Red Line will be closed between Sunnyside and 39th Avenue, and the Blue Line will be closed between Sunalta and Bridgeland/Memorial stations.

Some of the work being done includes track repairs and rail replacements, lighting repairs, concrete repairs in the Cemetery Hill Tunnel, fire suppression and surface drainage inspections and maintenance.
