The spray pads are open for Winnipeggers over the long weekend

Here on the long weekend, Winnipeggers begin enjoying the warm weather with city-run outdoor fun.

The spray pads will be open starting this weekend. Most mats are open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. until September 2.

It won't be long before the outdoor pools open as well. The heated pools will open on June 21, followed by the unheated pools on June 28 with the Fort Harry Lions, according to the city.

The pools, which will open in phases starting July 1, will be the last to open in the city. Working hours vary.
