Police are looking for a third person in the shooting death of a Leslieville mother of two

Toronto police have identified a third suspect wanted in an east-side shooting that killed a mother of two in July. Carolina Huebner-Makurat, 44, was shot and died at the hospital.

Toronto police have identified a third suspect wanted in an east-side shooting that killed a mother of two in July.

In a news release Wednesday, police said 19-year-old Ahmed Ali was wanted on warrants across Canada for murder with a firearm and robbery.

Carolina Huebner-Makurath, 44, died at the hospital July 7 after being shot by a stray bullet in the area of ​​Queen Street E. and Carlaw Avenue in Leslieville. She was also known as Caroline.

In August, police charged 20-year-old Ahmed Mustafa Ibrahim with first degree murder, robbery and probation violation. He is the second person to be charged with direct involvement in the police killing, following Damian Hudson, who was charged in July with second-degree murder.

Khalila Zara Mohammed, a 23-year-old female picker, was also arrested and charged with indictable offense and obstruction of justice, police said.
