Winnipeg police seek 'armed and dangerous' suspect in attempted murder in 2021

Winnipeg police are searching for a suspect in connection with an attempted homicide investigation that began in the fall of 2021 on West Broadway.

Winnipeg Police say two men, ages 29 and 35, suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds in an incident on Furby Street near Sarah Avenue on November 25, 2021.

Both victims were taken to hospital in critical condition and later recovered from their injuries.

Major Crimes Unit investigators have identified 28-year-old Yusuf Abdulqadir Ali as the suspect. He is wanted on charges of attempted murder and multiple weapons charges.

Ali is described as six-foot-three and 235 pounds. with average build.

Winnipeg police say he is considered “gang-affiliated and involved in a drug subculture,” armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
