Police are investigating a stabbing in northeast Calgary late Saturday night

One man is in stable hospital after being stabbed in northeast Calgary.

According to police, a friend of the victim called and reported that his friend had been stabbed in the leg.

It happened on a Saturday afternoon around 5:20.

As part of the investigation, police closed off the area in Greenfield near Memorial Dr. and Edmonton Tr. N.E

Police have not released any other details about the events surrounding the stabbing.
