Sundre RCMP investigating assault | CTV News

RCMP say there is no threat to the community, but part of Center Street in Sundre will be closed Wednesday due to the police investigation.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sundre RCMP warned the community of a “heavy police presence” due to a serious assault.

STARS was dispatched to the scene and officials said the patient was taken to the hospital after suffering a “pointed weapon” injury.

In an update Wednesday morning, RCMP said two people were injured in the attack and another patient was taken to a Calgary hospital by ground ambulance.

Information about those arrested was not provided.

A further update is pending as the RCMP continues its investigation.
