Calgary Weather: Expect a chilly Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

If you're going out to celebrate Valentine's Day on Wednesday, you should dress for the cold weather.

It will be -16 in the morning with a wind chill, -11 in the afternoon and close to -18 at 8 in the evening.

If you don't like going out in the cold, a movie on the couch is a warmer, indoor option.

Expect things to get even colder by Thursday.

In fact, Thursday will be the coldest day of the week.

A ridge of high pressure will begin to form on Friday and that will help push our temperatures into the plus single digits for the long weekend!
