Japan Week has started in Montreal

From discovering restaurants and their delicious cuisine to visiting boutiques and attending cultural events, Montrealers can explore Japanese culture right here in the city.

4th The Montreal edition of Japan Week kicks off Monday night at Neo Tokyo.

A big part of the festival is the gastronomic experience. There are more than 20 local restaurants waiting to open, including Nozy, Noren and Juni.

More than 20 boutiques and pastry shops are also participating in the festival, such as Center Taiyo, Galerie D'Okeya and Kyoto Fleurs.

You can participate in cultural activities, including a Japanese market. Presented by Marché à la japonaise, the event will take place on May 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Osmo x Marusan Café-Terrasse.

There will also be an event for dog lovers. As part of the holiday, a meeting of Shibas and Akitas will take place. It is the largest gathering in Canada with over 200 dogs participating.

The week-long event will be held at participating businesses and restaurants until May 12.
