Pedestrian dies after collision on St. Mary's Road – Winnipeg Free Press

City police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a car early Saturday morning.

The Winnipeg Police Service was dispatched to the scene of a collision near St. Mary's Road and Chesterfield Avenue at 12:40 a.m. Monday.

Police officers identified a 38-year-old woman with serious injuries. Emergency personnel took him to the hospital, where he died. The driver remained at the scene of the crash, WPS said.

Police have notified the woman's family and are continuing to investigate, WPS said.

WPS Traffic Division investigators are asking anyone with information about the collision, including video, to call Crime Stoppers at 204-986-7085 or anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
